Imagine it on your website
One plugin. Three useful moments.
Start with what your reader needs: a calculation, a comparison or a quick price reference. These are real outputs from the installed plugin.
01 / Explore a price
Their amount.
Their currency.
Sample service package. Let visitors calculate their own equivalent.
02 / Compare a budget
One budget.
A wider view.
Sample travel budget. Compare three currencies in one clear table.
03 / Explain an offer
A small badge.
A clearer price.
Sample digital product. Add currency context beside your own price.
Sample scenarios; real plugin output. Try the converter and the amount field in the table. For the Price Badge, change the amount and style in the playground below. Reference rates can differ from transaction rates and fees.
Keep the question.
And the answer. Together.
A price should help a reader decide what to explore next. Give them a familiar reference without sending them away from the offer, guide or article.

A visitor calculator, a comparison table or a compact badge list—each solves a different question.
Choose the rate source
Select a supported central-bank or market source in the plugin settings. Currency coverage depends on your choice.

A few useful details
Good to know.
Easy to start.
Is the plugin free? Do I need an API key?
Exchange Rates is free and open source. Its supported data services do not require you to enter an API key.
What is the difference between the three formats?
The converter lets visitors enter an amount and change currencies. The table compares several currencies and can include an amount field, flags, previous close and change columns. Price Badge presents configured currency equivalents in a compact list beside your content.
Can I change the rate source for each shortcode?
The selected source is a plugin-wide setting shared by all three formats. Choose it in the plugin settings. Individual shortcodes can use their own amounts, currency lists and supported display options.
How often do rates update?
The plugin schedules hourly updates through WordPress Cron. Actual availability depends on your site scheduler and the selected provider’s publication schedule. See the source and date shown with the output; a bank may publish only on working days.
Does this change checkout prices?
No. These are currency references for your content. The plugin does not change a product’s stored price, checkout total or payment currency. Keep your actual offer and billing terms clear.
Does it work with the block editor?
Yes: paste any of the three shortcodes into a WordPress Shortcode block. Exchange Rates also includes classic converter and table widgets; these are different from a dedicated Gutenberg block.
Where do rates and flags come from?
The plugin retrieves rates through its supported CurrencyRate services and stores them on your WordPress site. Outputs identify the selected source and its date. Coverage varies by source. Emoji icons may load from WordPress.org. Read the plugin details and rate information.
